Class Picture

After numerous attempts to get a halfway decent picture for the school website, I think we finally got a picture with everyone looking at the camera with their eyes open! Thank goodness for a cloudy day! Thank you Mrs. Zimath for being our photographer!

October Projects

Our First Jog-a-thon

As if we didn't have enough things going on this week...we ended the week with the Jog-a-thon. The weather was perfect and the runners were ready. The track was pretty small and there were a LOT of children running so I don't think I got pictures of everyone.

Here we are lined up and waiting for the fun to begin!

Warming up with Coach

And we're off and running!

Waiting to get our lap cards marked

Let's just walk for a while...

 Water break!

 Finishing strong...

And what could be better after all that running than a popsicle at 9:30 in the morning!

Our First Field Trip!

We took our first field trip this past Thursday to Florida Studio Theatre.  Now take a guess to what was the most exciting part of the trip...If you said riding on the school bus you would be right!  For many of the children this was their first time on a school bus and it was a very exciting ride!

This is going to be so much FUN!
Waiting for the show to start at the theater.

After the show we got back on the bus and everyone was checking out the program that we received after the show.

Then came the teachers favorite part of the bus ride...playing "possum" on the bus ride back to school.  This counted as our rest time for the day as everyone had a little rest on the way back to school!

Homework confirmed that the bus ride was the favorite part of the trip for many of us.  Some did actually choose to write about the play!

I would say our first field trip was a success.  The children were a very well behaved and polite audience.  They had a great time riding the bus and watching the play.  I was very proud of them!
